This featured basement renovation was built for a family in Marietta, Georgia. With over 2000 ft.² of space to work with and a request from the family to create an open floor plan, we engaged our engineer to specify beams that we would install to remove four load bearing walls creating a more open floor plan. Thin brick was installed on the walls of the main entertainment area and was painted white to create a fresh and spacious feel. A wet bar area was built including a beverage cooler, wine cooler, ice maker and dishwasher. We also custom built a rustic 8 foot wide barn door that would create a “flex” room that is currently used as a kids game room but could be used as a bedroom in the future. The large barn door allows it to keep the room feeling connected with the rest of the basement when open or provides privacy when used as a bedroom. A powder room was constructed with shiplap paneling and quartz countertops . Surround sound throughout and several TVs make it the perfect environment for entertaining and and spending time with family.
