This stunning kitchen renovation was just completed for our clients in Cumming, Georgia. The project involved a reconfiguration of the existing kitchen to create a better functioning and balanced design. We extended the pantry and straightened the wall behind the range to allow for a new hood and expanded countertop area. A large center island was added with quartz countertops and changed the door to the covered porch to an out swing door to ensure there would be ample room behind the island when entertaining. The island overhang was extended on each end to ensure there would be additional knee room for guests. We included a coffee bar area inside the back door with floating shelves and goose neck lighting. A drawer style microwave was incorporated into the design to maximize space and create easy access. The doors on the newly expanded pantry were changed to be not only wider but also 8 foot tall. We installed custom wooden shelving that would allow for larger items to be stored in the pantry. All the hardwood floors were sanded and refinished on the main level of the house in a light gray tone complementing the new cabinets and countertops.
