Our latest kitchen remodel project was completed for our clients in Country Club of the South in Johns Creek, Ga. The goal for the project was to update the kitchen into a more modern floor plan that would require removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the family room. This would entail some creative engineering with the installation of a steel I beam and the removal of the rear stair case. The existing hardwood floors were an Ebony color and had a very rough rustic finish. We were able to re lace the floors to fill in the void where the wall and stair case were removed, then sanded and refinished the entire house. This change helped to brighten and update the interior of the house. The double layer cabinets with custom lighting, the new wet bar in the location where the stairs were removed and the removal of the window previously over the sink helped to make the space feel more up to date and function better.
