Screened In Porch and Greenhouse

Our client in Canton, GA really enjoys gardening. She approached us with the idea of creating a greenhouse type structure on her existing residential home. After quite a bit of thought we recommended a design that could be more multi use and also attractive to a future buyer that may not have as much enthusiasm for gardening. We agreed on a design that would be a screened porch type structure but would work as a greenhouse for her. We installed removable 4 seasons Easy Breeze windows to combat the frost in winter time. These windows would also be removable in spring, summer and fall to give it a true screened porch feel. In order to keep as much natural light in this space as possible we incorporated skylights and triangular windows in the gables. We were able to save, clean, and seal the interior existing pavers to maintain that porch feel.

The interior ceiling height at the peak is 18 feet tall to maximize the spacious feel. The roof was covered in a tongue and groove cypress and custom built cedar beams that added contrast and character. A large ceiling fan provides plenty of air movement while enjoying the space in the warmer months. A custom potters bench with sink was designed and built out of IPE hardwood for durability and longevity. Our client is over the moon with the results and has enjoyed many summer days so far “pottering around” her new space. Call us at (404) 226- 7433 or email at Sales@victoriarenos.com.
