Transforming Tradition: The Behari Family Remodel in Marietta, Cobb County

A Kitchen Reimagined
At the heart of this project was a complete gut remodel of the kitchen, restructured from the studs up to achieve a clean, functional layout infused with elegant, earthy tones. A new window opening was framed and installed to allow more natural light into the space, and custom cabinetry was installed to the ceiling for dramatic vertical presence and optimal storage. The perimeter cabinets and drawers were painted in a satin-finish Emerald Urethane Enamel tinted to 60% Sherwin-Williams March Wind, while the island and butler’s pantry cabinetry were painted in Sherwin-Williams Hulett Ore, a rich, deep tone that anchored the space beautifully.
Cabinet accessories included spice rack rollouts, tray dividers, and appliance pullouts, all hidden behind maple hardwood doors. Quartz countertops with a standard edge profile were installed in both the kitchen and butler’s pantry, offering durability and sophistication. For added flair, a curved stainless steel range hood and pull-out trash cabinetry were installed alongside a 36″ commercial-grade induction range and matching appliances.
Lighting played a key role in elevating the kitchen’s ambiance. We installed three recessed lights, stylish pendants, and a central 6-light chandelier. LED strip lighting was added both inside and underneath the cabinets for a soft, inviting glow.
Butler’s Pantry & Pantry Details
The butler’s pantry mirrored the same cabinetry finishes as the island, maintaining color continuity throughout. We added upper glass-front cabinets, under-cabinet lighting, quartz counters, and a ceramic tile backsplash with grout selected for tone and contrast. Walls in both the kitchen and pantry were painted in Sherwin-Williams Emerging Taupe, providing a warm neutral backdrop that allowed cabinetry and lighting to shine.
Seamless Flooring and Trim
All main floor rooms, including the foyer, dining room, hallways, powder room, and living spaces, received glue-down solid hardwood flooring (homeowner-supplied). Our flooring subcontractors carefully worked around furniture, providing a true occupied remodeling experience without compromise. New paint-grade pine shoe molding was added and painted to blend with existing trim, which remained in place throughout.
Family Room Refresh
The family room fireplace was reimagined with a brick veneer surround, a custom floating cedar mantle stained to the homeowner’s preference, and a lowered firebox for a more modern look. A new TV receptacle was installed to prepare for wall mounting, and all drywall and painting were completed with care using Sherwin-Williams in a flat finish across walls, trim, and ceilings.
Dining Room, Powder Room, and Hallways
From the powder room to multiple closets and hallways, consistent flooring, trim updates, and high-quality painting united the spaces. Fixtures were carefully detached and reset to accommodate flooring installations, while base shoe moldings and stair components were painted or refinished to match.

Throughout the project, our team handled every phase—from demolition and dust containment to framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, trim, cabinetry, and glass installation. By coordinating selections in-house and working closely with the Behari family, we ensured their vision came to life exactly as imagined. All work was performed to NARI standards and permitted through Cobb County for full compliance.
